If you notice channels being briefly interrupted from February 28 to March 10, it could be from a sun outage. Twice a year, around March and October, the sun aligns so that TV satellites are directly between the sun and the receiving dishes. The sun’s rays overwhelm the satellite signal, causing brief outages for about a week. The outage time varies by the satellite a channel uses, but they are generally during the day and lasts for 10 minutes. During sun outages, you may experience short interruptions in service, such as pixelated or fuzzy picture, picture freezing or audio issues.
