For Banner Day Threads, creating the right hat starts long before anything reaches production.
The Norman-based company creates fully customized headwear designed around each customer’s brand, from colors and fabrics to logos, labels and other details. That level of customization requires constant communication between customers, Banner Day Threads’ team and manufacturing partners around the world.
For a young and growing company, having reliable internet behind those connections matters.
“Being a new business, being a young business, it’s very important to us to have the reliability to be able to communicate with our customers and communicate quickly,” said Banner Day Threads partner Eric Barnhart.
Banner Day Threads works closely with overseas manufacturing partners, which means large design and production files need to move back and forth throughout the process.
“Having fast, reliable internet is crucial to our business,” said partner Scott Shuler. “We have relationships overseas. We have to have large files that can be sent back and forth.”
That connection helps Banner Day Threads respond to customers, share files and keep projects moving without having internet service become another hurdle.
“OEC Fiber has really helped us grow our business,” Shuler said. “Just knowing that they’re there every day for us, that we can email our files, we can email our customers… is so crucial to our business.”
Reliability became especially important when Banner Day Threads moved into a new building on a tight schedule.
When complications came up during the move, Barnhart said the OEC Fiber team responded quickly to help get the business connected.
“We were able to pick up the phone, and we had an army of people here to get our business up and running in nothing flat,” he said.
That experience reflects something both founders value about working with a local provider.
“They’re local people, they’re good people, we know them,” Barnhart said. “If we have any problems, they’re here for us.”
For Banner Day Threads, that relationship feels a lot like the service it wants to provide its own customers: personal, responsive and reliable from start to finish.
